Vicor power modules can form multi-stage robot power-delivery networks from a battery or tether to 48 V buses and point-of-load rails. Selection therefore requires a complete architecture with isolation, regulation, protection, thermal path, transient loads and layout—not one peak-efficiency number.

The official robotics surface separates high-voltage-to-48 V, non-SELV-to-48 V and point-of-load stages; the modules are not universal drop-in converters.
Signal 2
Isolation, regulation, conversion ratio and bidirectionality differ by family and must be mapped to the robot hazard and grounding model.

High density makes PCB, filtering and thermal implementation central to realized performance rather than secondary packaging details.

A useful quotation should identify the configuration and answer these boundaries in writing.
- What exact module order code, grade, package, revision and evaluation hardware are proposed for each power stage?
- What input range, output range, continuous/peak load, transient, efficiency and derating conditions apply?
- Which stages are isolated, regulated or fixed-ratio, and what grounding, inrush, pre-charge and fault-protection architecture is required?
- What PCB layout, magnetics, filtering, heatsinking, airflow and temperature-monitoring conditions support the published figures?
- What qualification, regional availability, lifecycle, PCN/EOL and approved replacement process applies to every module?
